How we work
We look for companies that can evidence good financial performance and strong positions in their respective markets. The continued value creation will be achieved jointly with the management team without interference from us at Röko. We allow our respective companies to continue to operate independently with us as a sounding board with a perpetual ownership mindset.
Team
Röko is a team with various investment backgrounds that are working together with investors, management teams and between ourselves towards common goals. We aim to build a group of independent and strong businesses that are managed in a decentralised manner with selective assistance from the central team. In aggregate we have executed more than 100 transactions and have extensive investment experience.
Speed of execution
We work with the management teams of the respective companies in which we invest and pride ourselves in being an agile owner that enables speed of execution through efficient governance. We encourage and favor management teams that have a proactive mentality and sense of urgency.
Decentralization
Our model is predicated on working with independently managed companies where the leaders maintain autonomy. Therefore we focus on ensuring that the portfolio company leadership provides opportunities for ambitious and driven individuals who shall thrive in Röko’s portfolio companies.
Alignment of interest
We aim to ensure that management teams act with their company’s best in mind, therefore we align owner’s long-term incentives with management. We encourage investment by management teams and key individuals in their respective companies and enable individuals to invest alongside us. We pride ourselves with transparency and alignment of interests between investors and portfolio companies and believe this approach makes people work toward a common goal and focus on developing the company.
Sustainability (and Social impact)
We are a perpetual owner of businesses, meaning that it is imperative for us to invest in sustainable companies and to invest in making them future proof, not just for the near future. Sustainability is an integral part of our business strategy and is embedded in our acquisition assessment process as well as in the governance of our group. Our perpetual mindset guides our daily work around sustainable (and social impact) and runs through the entire Röko group.

Röko strives to ensure that every activity undertaken is done responsibly and sustainably with considerable emphasize on high ethical standards. We also establish requirements for our subcontractors and suppliers. For us, high ethics, good working conditions and environmental responsibility are priority issues that have always characterized the business.
